Cleopatra Elite Collection Adult Costume
This is one magnificent costume for one magnificent queen – the Queen of Egypt – Cleopatra! It’s no wonder that so many powerful men of the world, including Roman Emperors, fell for her charms.
This royal costume comes with the beautiful full-length, satin gown in white, and it comes with the waist sash attached. It also includes the gold-colored draping apron, and a separate tri-colored collar, which is made of a stretch material but fully sequined.
But that’s not all! It also comes with the beautiful long cape, and what makes this very authentic looking is the way the cape is attached, which is by sequined armbands. And the crowning piece is a gorgeous golden-colored beaded head piece. Wear this and be Queen of the Nile!

The Pharaoh Costume is made from polyester (100%), and the costume comes with the black robe, a glistening blue-colored sash with some Egyptian royal colors of gold and purple. It also comes with corresponding cuffs for your wrist, and the classic Egyptian-style neck piece, all trimmed in gold.
This is an Adult sized costume, and it comes it a Standard size and an Extra-Large size.

A Bit of Egyptian History
Egypt has a grand history, which traces its roots back to the 10 millennium BC! However, what most people identify as ancient Egypt is the period of the unified Egypt with Egyptian kings or Pharaohs, who built the early pyramids. This period began about 3150 BC by King Menes, and it continued for thousands of years, culminating in Egypt’s height of power with some of their most well known Pharaohs, such as Hatshepsut, Akhenaten and his famous wife Nefertiti, and King Tutankhamun, who we know as King Tut, and Ramesses II. This Pharaohs ruled from about 1550 to 1070 BC, many hundreds of years before the time of Cleopatra.
Cleopatra was the last Pharaoh to rule over Egypt. She lived from about 69 BC to 30 BC. Her love conquest included Gaius Julius Caesar, who helped Cleopatra maintain her throne. She and Caesar had a son together, Caesarion. However, Caesar was assassinated in Rome in 44 BC. Cleopatra then turned to another Roman leader, Mark Antony.
Caesar’s heir, Octavianus, attacked Egypt and Cleopatra and Mark Antony’s forces. After the the loss of this battle, Antony killed himself. When Cleopatra learned of this, it is said that she also killed herself using a poisonous snake called the “Asp”
After the fall of Mark Antony and Cleopatra, there were no more pharaohs to rule Egypt, and Egypt became yet another province of the Roman Empire.
